Cipriana D. Thompson is a writer with a passion for poetry. She first began writing in middle school – in the form of limericks and haikus – for class. A limerick from one of her 7th grade writing assignments was:

There once was a boy named Ted
Who had a twin brother Ned
They always played tricks
And wrote limericks
And gave them to their father Ed.

So, as you can see…she was an early poetry star! Ha! Luckily, her interest spilled over into other forms of poetry! She gradually became more intrigued with and excited about the art during and after college, ultimately resulting in her first book, Soulfully Speaking: A Poetic Journey in Search of Me.
